A taste of FAME from talented performers

FAME (Forest Amateur Musical Entertainers) bring That’s Entertainment – Fame At The Theatre to the Capitol, Horsham, this October.

They promise to delight audiences with numbers from a variety of theatrical shows.

A cast of talented locals come together to celebrate comedy, song and dance for an evening of all-round entertainment, says spokeswoman Margaret Bysh.

“Audiences will recognise songs from Blood Brothers, Jesus Christ Superstar, Moulin Rouge, Les Misérables, Chicago, South Pacific, Follies and other hugely successful shows. A Victorian Music Hall medley is also featured.

“Adults of all ages perform in this show, which is fast-moving, nostalgic, emotional, inspirational and, at times, very funny.

Horsham resident Colin Carter, a city ophthalmologist by day, will reprise his role as compère and will guide audiences through this theatrical adventure with his charismatic and witty anecdotes.

“That’s Entertainment – Fame At The Theatre is directed by Wendy Galleymore, a much-loved local figure who has dedicated many years to amateur dramatics and tap dance tuition in Sussex. Wendy’s daughter, Su Galleymore, co-produces the show with her mother.
