Ben Ofoedu is set to star as the Genie of the lamp.

Ben is well known as the lead singer of Brighton-based band Phats & Small and their huge international hit ‘Turn Around’.

He has been involved with several bands, including Benz, REDhill, The Intenso Project and Four Story who went on to appear on ‘Making Your Mind Up’ in the hope of representing the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest with their song ‘Hand On My Heart’.

Ben and his fiancé Vanessa Feltz have become quite a celebrity couple, having taken part in a number of TV programmes including Channel 4’s Celebrity Wife Swap, in which they swapped with the late Paul Daniels and his wife Debbie McGee.

They also appeared in the Virgin 1 show A Restaurant in our Living Room, the BBC One daytime quiz show Pointless Celebrities, All Star Mr & Mrs, ITV’s Who Wants To Be a Millionaire (in which they won £150,000 for a cancer charity) and Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On the Side.

Ben said: “I can’t wait to join the Horsham panto cast this Christmas for what I’m sure is going to be one of the best pantos Horsham has ever seen.

“I always feel a good panto is judged by it’s energy backstage and if the photo shoot is anything to go by Christmas 2016 will be fun and frolics all the way.

“Plus Horsham has one the most beautiful theatres in the country, which makes a backdrop for wonder and enchantment.”

Martin Ramsdin has been cast as Widow Twankey.

Martin trained at The Guildford School of Acting, gaining a diploma in musical theatre, and is probably best known for his alter ego Bunny Galore. Bunny presents classic cult movies like Night of the Living Dead, The Brain that Wouldn’t Die and Santa Claus Conquers the Martians on Sky channels Information TV and Showcase TV and in the USA on the Roku channel Bizarre TV. He recently hosted the TV series ShocktoberFest on Brighton’s Latest TV.

2016 will be Martin’s 22nd pantomime season and marks a welcome return to The Capitol where he has previously played an Ugly Sister in Cinderella and Dame Doris Dumpling in Snow White. He has appeared as many panto characters in theatres all over the UK.

For four years Bunny has also been performing in the West End revue show Lady Alex’s The Wam Bam Club at the Café de Paris. Other TV appearances include the popular series Bargain Hunt for BBC, Cherry Healey Like a Virgin for BBC3 and Top Dog Model for ITV2.

“They are both seasoned performers and will complement the other cast members in what promises to be our most adventurous show to date.”
