Trio offer night of British folk music at its best

The trio perform at Clair Hall on Sunday, April 6, at 7.30pm.

Maddy Prior is one of the most enduring, influential and respected artists in British music having produced one of the most outstanding and varied bodies of work in the field of British folk.

Maddy has a history of collaborating with unexpected musicians.

She aims to approach traditional and written material from interesting and varied perspectives.

This year has seen her collaborate with two very talented artists.

Giles Lewin, is a multi-talented instrumentalist and singer with a classical background diluted by some years in the band After Hours.

He is a stalwart of the Carnival Band, another long-time collaboration of Maddy’s.

Hannah James is a young, fresh and gifted lady who currently can been seen as part of Lady Maisry and has previously been in the Demon Barbers and Kerfuffle.

The trio come together to perform the music of England, the British Isles & Eastern Europe.
