VIDEO: Dangerous tree branch removed in Tilgate Nature Centre

Workers removed tree branches damaged by storms and high winds today (Wednesday February 5).

Gregory Sweeney, a tree officers for Crawley Borough Council responsible for the borough’s tree stock, brought in contractors County Tree Surgeons to remove a damaged branch in Tilgate Nature Centre this afternoon.

He said: “We’ve been working across the borough clearing a lot of fallen trees in back gardens and wooded areas.

“As long as the weather’s windy and wet we should expect more emergency works.”

Gregory had answered inquiries from members of the public about trees everyday since Christmas.
