VIDEO: Floods force businesses to close
A row of businesses in Three Bridges closed after floods surrounded their premises.
Three Bridges Kebab Centre in Three Bridges Road, one of the affected firms, had to turn down phone orders because the space outside their shop was covered in water.
The shop was closed for three hours before the floodwater was low enough for the owners to open at 3pm today (Friday January 17).
Mahmut Can, 22, said: “We had to close and turn down orders.
“But it wasn’t just us, the whole line of shops [on the road] had to close.
“It’s definitely been slower today because of the floods.”
