Amanda Pitman, 45, from Horley had spent the last 25 years teaching flight and cabin crew aircraft safety for Virgin Atlantic.

She said: "I started my business at the start of furlough.

"Last month I was made redundant from Virgin Atlantic where I had been teaching aircrew for 25 years. As a result I’ve turned my hobby into a new business.

"It started mainly as free service to get people together and when I found out I was being made redundant I developed it into an online business."

Collective Vitality is an online fitness subscription program, but Amanda adds that she is also in the process of developing a lifestyle channel with mindful, meditation, healthy eating information.

Amanda said: "I’ve always had an interest in fitness and Yoga and it just seemed like a nature fit for me. Anyone can join I've just started adding Chair Yoga for older members and I’m also looking at programs for children too."

The name came about because it is all about the collective and it is about bringing people together to share a space whether that be for yoga, fitness or just joining in with the monthly cook along.
