Sainsbury’s to close in Crawley town centre
Sainsbury's has confirmed its decision to close its Crawley town centre store early next year.
The supermarket chain, which also has a branch in West Green, said it has updated staff on the 'difficult decision' to close its Queensway store.
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson added: "We are doing everything we can to find alternative roles within Sainsbury’s for those affected.
“Customers can continue to shop with us online and at our nearby stores. For example, our West Green store is a short drive away.”
The Queensway store will close early next year, Sainsbury’s confirmed.
It comes a year after Sainsbury’s announced plans to close up to 15 branches within two years, whilst opening ten new ones over the next five years.
