Thousands of homes in Horsham and villages surrounding the town have been hit by a power cut.

The outage affects thousands of homes in the area, with power not expected to be restored until between 4.30pm and 5.30pm this evening.

One key worker, who works at home, said the outage was a ‘nightmare’.

A spokesman for UK Power Networks said: “We were investigating a high voltage overhead electricity line fault which caused a power cut in the local area.”
