Dream job for Horsham man

Peter Hallam has been appointed to a new barista position at South Downs Nurseries, and has been quick to make his mark with an impressive array of hand-made boutique coffees.

Instead of merely filter coffee on offer, coffee lovers in the Hassocks area will have a choice of Americanos, Lattes, espresso and macchiato coffee.

The seasoned barista had been keen to end a frustrating daily commute to south London and take up a new position closer to his West Sussex home.

Peter said: “I am very excited to introduce the new barista coffee as the garden centre’s coffee shop takes on a whole new look and feel, which even includes comfy sofas and armchairs.”

In his spare time Peter can be found working on new recipes.

Manager Mark Hillyard, added: “Peter’s expertise, enthusiasm andcreative talents are really exciting to have as part of our team. Everyday there’s something to tingle the taste buds – I never know what to expect.”
