Horsham town centre pub shuts ‘as a precaution’ while waiting for coronavirus test result
A Horsham town centre pub has shut its doors as a precaution while waiting for a coronavirus test result.
The Malt Shovel in Springfield Road said in a notice to customers: “Due to a member of our household having had a cough since Sunday, we have made the decision to close our doors until we have the results of a COVID-19 test.
“We do not belive they have COVID-19 as the cough is the only alarming symptom, but have decided to err on the side of caution rather than greed.”
The test was taken today, October 14, and results are expected within 48 hours, a spokesman said. He added: “THis means we should be open as normal Friday night. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
