The store will be at the former Beales site - which closed in July - in The Forum on Lower Tanbridge Way.

The new 28,500 sq ft store will include a café along with a range of 20,000 furnishing products for the home and garden.

Dunelm says its made-to-measure bespoke service will also be available which allows shoppers to choose from over 4,000 fabrics to create curtains, blinds and accessories.

The store will also stock products from household names such as Dorma, Fogarty, Joseph Joseph and Brabantia, plus new designs from Dunelm’s own exclusive Elements and Hotel brands.

New store manager Tom Sowry said: “We are looking forward to becoming a new neighbor to the Horsham community.

“There is a strong retail offering within the town but we’ve spotted a gap in the market for Dunelm’s extensive collection of homewares and hope we can cater for the diverse range of shoppers within the community.

“We have an exciting opening day planned and we hope the local community will join us at our official opening day on Tuesday 22 November.

“In the meantime, we are looking for enthusiastic members of staff to join us as we become a part of the community and have a range of jobs available from sales assistants to team leaders. Those interested should visit our website for further information.”

The new Horsham store will be open seven days a week.

Dunelm was founded in 1979 by Bill and Jean Adderley who started by selling ready-made curtains from a market stall in Leicester. It now has a chain of more than 160 stores, including at Eastbourne, Hastings, Shoreham, and Rustington.
