Little angels leave mums and dads smiling

Youngsters at Our Lady Queen of Heaven School, in Langley Green, have put on a spectacular nativity play for their family and friends.

Our Lady Queen of Heaven children perform An Angel Express

The Key Stage 1 children left their mums, dads and members of the community beaming after two performances of An Angel Express.

The play told the tale of a choir of angels rehearsing the song they wanted to perform for the baby Jesus.

Their preparations were interrupted by an angel paperboy who kept them up to date with events as they unfolded on Earth - Mary expecting a baby, the journey to Bethlehem, the birth of Jesus and the visit from the shepherds and kings.

The play was performed yesterday and today (Wednesday and Thursday 13/14) at Our Lady's church.

A school spokesman said: "Children spoke clearly, sang with joy and performed well. Staff were proud of their efforts and parents were thrilled with their achievements."
