A Crawley school began its sports day by releasing dozens of balloons and ended it with a tug-of-war.

Children from Our Lady Queen of Heaven Primary, in Langley Green, were put through their paces while cheered on by parents, carers and governors.

Headteacher Tobias Melia said: “Once again we’ve enjoyed a wonderful day of sporting activity and excellence.
