As a result of Covid-19, students and staff across the country have found themselves in an unprecedented situation this year with the cancellation of GCSE examinations. Students have therefore been awarded grades based on what their teachers predicted they would achieve, except in cases where the model created by Ofqual has awarded a higher grade.

Some of the school's top performing students include Luke Dee, Marta O’Sullivan and Ben Welch who saw their hard work rewarded with today's results.

At MRC, many students are now set to join the school's Sixth Form in September where they will begin their A Level courses.

Stuart Edwards, principal of Midhurst Rother College, said: “Congratulations to all our Year 11s on their GCSE results.

"Whilst our students weren't able to sit their exams this summer, we believe that the grades they were awarded are an accurate reflection of what they would have received and are testament to the effort and dedication they've shown to their academic studies over the past five years.

"We hope our students take this opportunity to celebrate their hard work and we look forward to welcoming many of them back to our sixth form in September."
