St Wilfrid's staff funk it up for end-of-term treat

Staff at St Wilfrid's School, Crawley, have given students an end-of-term treat of the most stylish kind.

Led by drama teacher James Hadden, they strutted their way through a frame-by-frame remake of the Uptown Funk music video, by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars.

The video, which was shown to students at their Key Stage end of year awards assemblies, has now been posted to YouTube.

Once filming at the Southgate school was finished, ‘audio technician and editor supreme’ Josh Smith wove the whole thing together.

Who said teachers have no sense of humour!

St Wilfrid’s has made something of a name for itself when it comes to producing videos.

Christmas 2014 saw students take part in a moving film to commemorate the Truce between German and British forces on Christmas Day, 1914. The video can be found here.

And staff said a musical farewell to former headteacher Jonathan Morris.
