It is now offering a new assisted, door-to-door shopping bus service which exceeds the Government guidelines of social distancing for passengers, a spokesman for the charity said. Vehicles are fully sanitized between each run.

Drivers will wear appropriate PPE and use appropriate social distancing with passengers.

The spokesman said: “All passengers will be required to wear a mask, unless they are medically exempt, whilst on the bus. Passenger numbers will be limited on buses to ensure that appropriate social distancing is possible.”

Registration to travel with us is free, the charity said. The spokesman added: “Our service is available for anyone who has difficulty accessing mainstream transport – all of our vehicles are wheelchair accessible.”
