Win-win deal for local estate agencies

FOLLOWING successful negotiations, Henry Adams has acquired the residential lettings portfolio of Fowlers Estate Agents to become one of the largest lettings agencies in West Sussex in a move which benefits both firms.

Director of Henry Adams Lettings at Storrington, John Brennan, comments: “We would like to welcome all the new landlord clients to our services and we look forward to getting to know their individual lettings requirements.

“Our continued investment in the growth of our lettings operation stands to benefit both current and prospective clients through our local network of offices: landlords will have access to a greater pool of tenants while tenants benefit from a greater choice of properties to match their needs.”

Property management for the portfolio will be handled by Henry Adams’ full in-house management team at Storrington, which belongs to the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) and staff have an in-depth knowledge of the area.

The move also enables Fowlers to expand their two core businesses - residential property sales and land and new homes - through their three offices in Storrington, Billingshurst and Pulborough.

Managing director of Fowlers, Marcel Hoad, comments: “The transaction advances both companies’ differing strategies, and continues the longstanding respect and relationship between our two firms.

“We are grateful to our landlord clients for entrusting us with the letting of their properties over the years and we are committed to ensuring that the transaction causes them as little inconvenience as possible.”

Both companies are working closely to achieve a smooth transition for landlords and tenants, which took effect from January 3, 2012.
