Arundel theatre’s charity open day

The Priory Theatre in Arundel will open its doors for a charity open day in aid of Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice on Saturday, May 19 from 10-4pm.

Theatre Spokeswoman Brenda Merriott said: “We offer a packed day with much to see and buy - art and greetings cards, watercolours, cake stall, gift stall, face-painting (for children), story-telling ( for all ages), coffee, tea and refreshments.

Members will be on hand to give tours of the theatre, including back stage and lighting box and the new bar.

“From 7.45pm there will be a musical treat presented by Anything Goes, a group of singers led by Julie Waite. Tickets are £10 which includes a glass of wine. Please come along with friends and family. All proceeds will go to the children of Chestnut Tree House.”

Also coming up at Arundel’s Priory Theatre is a Poetry And Potage Evening on Friday, May 25 at 7pm.

“Wonderful homemade soup and crusty bread - all for £2.50.” Brenda promised. “Bring your poem or prose to read or just sit back and enjoy.”
