Brighton hosts first bartending competition

Brighton’s first-ever international flair bartending competition will take place on February 24 with the promise of “an entirely new, dynamic and exciting evening.”

Spokesman James Oakley said: “Competing in the event will be some of the best flair bartenders in the world, from the UK, to Greece to the USA as well as some local favourites. “Brighton Flair comes to Oceana, West Street as a relatively new concept for the city, and with tickets to see the international event costing just £10 it is open to everybody over the age of 18 to see!

“Flair bartending is exciting to watch with its mix of skill, personality and amazing to watch trickery as well as trying a few cocktails of your own. ‘Flairing’ or flair bartending is a fast growing international sport. It began with a niche audience but has quickly grown to an international sport with a thriving global base of events and viewership. The event promises to be one of Brighton’s biggest and best, and opportunities for guests to try their hand at ‘flaring’ will be available!
