Three sisters provide Sunday concert

The next concert in Chichester’s Music on Sundays series will be given by the Fujita Piano Trio from Japan.

Series spokesman Raymond Greenless said: “They are three sisters who studied in England and have since built an impressive international career. My wife Jean and I first met them many years ago when Arisa (violin) and Honoka (cello) were studying at the Guildhall School of Music. Megumi studied the piano at the Menhuin School and later at the Royal College of Music with Irina Zaritskaya.

“Jean gave them one of their first engagements, when she was Chairman of the Herts & Essex Concert Club. Since then they have played in more than 100 venues in the UK; and overseas they have given concerts in Canada, France, Italy, Romania, Sweden, Turkey, Morocco and in their native Japan.
