A23 '˜gridlocked'

Drivers took to Twitter after traffic south of Pease Pottage was held at a standstill for as long as ten minutes.

Michael Kennard said: “Not moved at all for ten minutes.”

Freddie Newton added: “A23 is grid lock. Do not go there”

Spokesmen said Sussex Police, Highways England and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service had not been called to the scene.
