A desperate hunt has been launched for a pet cat that has gone mysteriously missing from her home, leaving her owner distraught.
Susie Mermaid’s beloved brown burmese cat called Tinki vanished from outside her home in Fittleworth on the evening of April 28.
“She is the joy of my life,” said Susie, who has searched high and low for her cherished pet without success.
“I have searched miles around on foot calling and calling and knocking on doors, but inside I know she would have come back if she could.”
And, she added: “The pain, and anguish is too much, she is such a dear little creature, even people who dont normally like cats fall in love with her.
“I’m almost all cried out and can’t stand to think of her suffering or having suffered in any way, she just doesn’t deserve it,” added Susie. “She is a very special cat that has touched so many lives and I was even planning to take her to be a volunteer ‘Pets for Therapy’ cat so she could cheer people up in homes and hospitals.”
