An Apprenticeship Job Fair where more than 100 vacancies are expected to be on offer is to be held in Crawley.
The fair will be held on Friday January 23 from 1pm-3pm at the Civic Hall, the Boulevard.
Backed by Crawley Borough Council and West Sussex County Council, the event aims to match those looking for employment with training with employers looking to recruit their future workforce.
The industries covered by the fair will include construction, hospitality, business, engineering and care.
Cllr Peter Lamb, Leader of Crawley Borough Council, said: “I’m delighted that we are hosting the Apprenticeship Job Fair again. September’s event was very successful, matching up applicants with training and job opportunities, so if you’ve recently left education or looking for a new challenge come along.”
Cllr Louise Goldsmith, Leader of West Sussex County Council, said: “I would encourage anyone looking for a new career to take this opportunity to meet with local employers. Apprenticeships provide valuable practical experience and great opportunities for training and further qualifications.”
A spokesman said young people who had recently left school or college or were considering a fresh start were particularly welcome.
Attendees will be able to explore the paid apprenticeship options and traineeship opportunities open to them at the event, which will see a number of training providers - including Central Sussex College, Rewards, Jace Training and 3aaa - offering jobs with local employers.
