The Wee Old Skool Gym, Littlehampton, received £2,500 towards hall hire, more than £457 went to the Arun Sunshine Group towards two banners, and £325 to the Littlehampton and District Camera Club for seven print display stands.

But with more than £12,000 left to be distributed before the end of the financial year, county councillors on the JEAAC decided to split any remaining amount between a local foodbank and Operation Watershed, a project to alleviate local flooding problems across West Sussex.

County Councillors on the JEAAC also considered a traffic regulation order introducing parking restrictions on the A284 Lyminster Road.

They agreed to its implementation, but with an altered junction protection scheme incorporating a reduced length of double yellow lines in Coomes Way, Griffin Crescent and Sandfield Avenue, Wick, Littlehampton.
