Banish the half term blues

YOUNGSTERS are being encouraged to visit Bexhill Museum during school half-term to enjoy a range of rewarding practical activities aimed at keeping boredom at bay.

On Tuesday, May 31, from 2pm to 4pm, children aged over 10 can make their own model cottages on a 1:76 scale. Thursday, June 4 brings a chance for five to eight year olds to make things on the theme of North American Indians.

These include feather head-dresses, model canoes, dream-catchers and model tepee villages in a shoebox. Again, the session runs from 2pm to 4pm. The cost for each is £3 per adult and £2 per child, and includes admission to the museum, materials and refreshments.

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Places are limited and bookings can be made by calling 01424 787950. Tickets may also be available on the door .
