Battle pupils named artists in residence
The High Sheriff of East Sussex, Graham Peters, presented the Year 10 students with certificates of commendation for their commitment to providing live music to patients and visitors.
In addition, Ollie and Issy were presented to 94-year-old Dame Fanny Waterman, who was one of this country’s leading piano teachers, and the founder of the renowned Leeds International Piano Competition.

Hide AdThe ceremony marked the latest chapter in a story dating back to 2004, when Dr Richard Wray, consultant cardiologist, introduced live music at the Conquest to help aid patients in their recovery and put visitors at ease.
