Heart of Sidley has organised all sorts of activities; from street dance classes to evening bat walks, there is something for everyone to do from Monday, April 4 to Friday, April 8.

Team assistant Audrey Pinningtion said: “We have listened to what local residents have said and organised events at local venues and for different age groups, so we are hoping for a good turn out at the activities.”

“All of the activities that we are running in this week are available in the area all year round.

“This week gives everyone a unique chance to give something new a try for free.

“We are hoping people find something that they love and will then go on to carry on with these classes afterwards.

“We have tried to accommodate children and adults so there is something for everyone.”

The week will end with an indoor fun day at Sidley Baptist Church between 11am and 3pm, with a bouncy castle, face-painting, Uncle Bumble and a make your own Easter bonnet table with prizes for the best entries.

The community group is also offering subsidised places at Boom Active throughout the two-week school holiday, with Heart of Sidley children going for just £1 a session.

“We did this at the last half term and it was really popular,” project co-ordinator Victoria Ferguson said.

“I’m guessing the spaces will go very quickly, so don’t miss out.”
