Bid for information boards in Crawley town centre

Information about seasonal events and works in the town would be displayed on vinyl boards on a former clothing store in Queens Square.
Crawley Borough Council has registered its planning application for the £1,390 scheme.

Hide AdA council spokeswoman said: “This application is for two self-adhesive window vinyls to be displayed on the vacant unit that used to contain Dorothy Perkins.
“The plans are for one vinyl to display Queens Square regeneration information and the other to promote seasonal events in Crawley.”
Dorothy Perkns and Burtons, which are part of the British Homes Stores group, closed stores in the square in February 2014.
Works on the £3.2m Queens Square revamp by the borough council and West Sussex County Council is due to start in June and last until April 2017. The works include removing its sunken area and moving the bandstand to Memorial Gardens.
