Blacksmith forges ahead
THE SKILLS of the blacksmith were on show at an open weekend at the Glynde Forge.
The event was held to celebrate the centenary of the forge which is located in the middle of the village.
Blacksmith Terry Tyhurst has plyed his trade at the forge for 11 years and he was joined by other blacksmiths and farriers from Surrey and Sussex.
Visitors were treated to a number of demonstrations including the creation of horseshoes.
