Rail delays between Horsham and Three Bridges are expected to last until this evening (Thursday November 26) following the discovery of a body on the tracks.
Police were called to a foot crossing near a play area in Amberley Close, Horsham, this morning.
Officers said a body of a man was discovered by a young boy at around 8.45am. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Queues of people crowded outside Horsham station to catch replacement bus services after trains were cancelled between Horsham and Three Bridges.
Southern Rail has announced lines have now re-opened but delays are expected to last until 4pm this evening.
