Bonfire season blasts off
BIG crowds lined Uckfield High Street on Saturday as the Sussex Bonfire season made a sparkling start.
Uckfield Bonfire and Carnival Society was well supported by other societies and the town's main street was a river of flame.
Townspeople and others from further afield backed the processions by entering floats, putting on dance displays and by providing bands.
The weekend of fun got off to a spectacular start on Friday with a fireworks display.
