Booze taken from youngsters
ALCOHOL was seized from a group of youngsters in Uckfield High Street during a police operation aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour.
Officers from North Wealden visited Forest Row, Crowborough and Uckfield on Friday evening as part of Operation Outreach.
One sergeant and five officers using two vehicles visited areas where youths were known to congregate.
A police spokes-man said: 'Officers spoke to numerous youngsters and carried out searches where appropriate. An amount of alcohol was seized from one group in Uckfield High Street.'
