BREAKING NEWS: Fire crews tackle blaze at Crawley recycling centre

Nine West Sussex Fire and Rescue teams are currently tackling a huge fire at a recycling centre in Metcalf Way, Crawley after a refuse lorry caught alight inside the building.

The fire crew was alerted of the blaze at 4.19pm today (Friday, May 29), at the Viridor Waste Management site in a single storey building that contains refuse and HGVs.

The fire is ongoing. Updates to follow.
