Shannon Holland, 14, went out on Thursday March 13 after eating supper but took nothing with her - no money, no mobile phone or any other personal belongings.

She is described as 5’ 2”, of slim build, with hazel eyes and shoulder-length brown hair. She may be wearing a blue-and-white vertically-striped, long-sleeved shirt, red leggings, black plimsolls and a white quilted jacket with a black collar.

PC Jacqui Thornton, of Horsham’s Neighbourhood Response Team, said: “Shannon has not done any thing like this before and her family say it is out of character for her to simply disappear. She has even left behind her beloved chihuahua dog.”

“We would urge Shannon to get in touch with either her family or police as soon as possible so it can be established that she is safe and well.

“Anyone who knows of her whereabouts or who has seen a girl answering her description is also asked to contact police without delay.”

Callers should phone Sussex Police on 101 or email [email protected], quoting serial 203 of 14/3
