BREAKING NEWS: Trains delayed after conductor assaulted

Southern Rail has tweeted that a stationary train in Merstham will cause delays for commuters this morning (Friday, July 31) after a conductor was assaulted.

Commuters have flooded onto Twitter to ask why their trains have been delayed.

One Twitter user, James Baker, said the attack was ‘appalling’.

Southern Rail tweeted: “There is a train currently a stand at Merstham on the line travelling away from London, delays may occur.”
