Broadfield Barton to get £400k revamp

Improvements will soon be made to Broadfield Barton thanks to more than £400,000 of funding.

Work to provide better CCTV, new paving, a new canopy and improved parking, are set to start in the summer and be completed in the autumn.

The work is possible thanks to £85,000 of funding from local businesses, £60,000 from stakeholders and £300,000 from Crawley Borough Council.

An exhibition with information on the improvements will be held at the new showroom on the Barton - the former Lethal Autos building - on Saturday January 18, from 11am to 2pm, There will also be a display at the Broadfield Neighbourhood Hub at Broadfield Library after January 18.

Cllr Nigel Boxall, cabinet member for community engagement, said: “These improvements will make the Barton better, safer and easier to park for everyone.

“I’d like to thank the local businesses which contributed to this project and I’d urge residents to come along on the 18th and find out more.”
