Rye Lions presented their 10th Nearly Burns Night brass band concert in Beckley village hall last Friday evening. The audience were welcomed with hot mince pies and mulled wine. Sussex Brass with conductor Steve sporting an appropriate kilt, then entertained them with a selection of music which this year included tunes from World War One to mark the 100 year anniversary of the outbreak of war. As has become a tradition the evening finished with Sussex by the Sea and Auld Langs Syne.

Rye Lions President Terry Cobby thanked Sussex Brass for a superb evenings entertainment, the audience for supporting the event and his fellow Lions for all their hard work.
