Car overturns on A259 near Eastbourne

Emergency services were called to an overturned car on the outskirts of Eastbourne this morning (Tuesday, July 21).

Sussex Police said officers were sent to the incident, which happened on the A259 Friston Hill, East Dean, shortly after 6am.

Officers said the driver was not hurt, there were no other vehicles involved, and the road was reopened before 7.30am.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said, “A car left the road and turned on to its side shortly after 6am.

“The driver was unhurt. No other vehicle or person was involved. The road was open again before 7.30am.”
