Caravans bid for nursery

THE owner of a horticultural nursery on the outskirts of Littlehampton is seeking permission to store caravans on part of the site to make it more economically viable.

Similar plans were turned down in 2009 and again the following year, on appeal.

The proposal is among the latest list of planning applications submitted to Arun District Council in the Gazette area:

LITTLEHAMPTON: listed building consent application to repair part of the roof, River House, 10 River Road.

Proposed dwelling, land to the rear of 25 Peregrine Road, fronting Timberleys.

Change of use of part of the existing horticultural nursery to the storage of caravans, Castle View Nursery, Old Mead Road.

Arun planning officers have turned down plans for a bungalow at the rear of a shop at 9A Arundel Road, Littlehampton.

They considered the site was too small for the proposed new home and would have resulted in ‘poor amenity’ for the prospective occupiers.
