Cars damaged in suspected arson attack in Three Bridges car park

Two cars were damaged in a suspected arson attack in a car park in Three Bridges on Sunday (April 17).

Police were called by firefighters to the car park in Forge Road at about 8.50pm, as the fire was thought to have been started deliberately.

A silver Vauxhall was completely burnt out, and a black Vauxhall parked nearby was also damaged, the force said - but nobody was hurt.

A 40-year-old man from Crawley has been arrested on suspicion of arson and released on bail until June 23.

PC John Miles said: “Fortunately nobody was injured in the blaze and we would like to hear from anyone who saw something suspicious in the area before the fire started.

“Witnesses can email [email protected] or call 101 quoting reference 1273 of 17/04.”
