Cash crisis delays new hospital project

Plans for a new community hospital in West Sussex have been shelved for six months because of the severe financial crisis hitting county's NHS trust.

The new 8m Arun Community Hosital in Littlehampton is the latest casualty in a series of NHS cutbacks across the county even though the Adur, Arun and Worthing Primary Care Trust which was going to develop the project is not in debt.
