Castle garden wins an award

A GARDEN opened by the Prince of Wales last year at Arundel Castle has received a top design award.

The garden is an imaginative recreation of the original Collector Earl's formal garden at Arundel House, his town palace overlooking the Thames in London.

Designed by Isabel and Julian Bannerman with Russell Taylor as architect, The Collector Earl's Garden has been recognised by the Conservation Area Advisory committee for Arun District.

Noel Dixon, chairman of the committee, presented the plaque to the Duchess of Norfolk on Monday.
