Celebration of Kathleen
Opera Omnibus are staging A Celebration Of Kathleen Ferrier – Her Life, Letters And Music at King Edward’s School, Witley, Surrey on Sunday, November 20 at 2.30pm.
Opera South are presenting mezzo-soprano, Diana Moore, accompanied by pianist, Christopher Glynn, in her own tribute in a programme celebrating Kathleen Ferrier’s life through her letters, diaries and the personal accounts of those who knew her well, and by performing some of the music that was associated with her.
The Kathleen Ferrier Society has also given access to their archive photo collection, some of which will accompany the performance. 2012 marks the centenary of Ferrier’s birth and the Kathleen Ferrier Society has endorsed the programme to represent them during the Anniversary.
