Cheeky conman charges public for parking at old 'cop shop'
A CHEEKY conman set up a bogus car-parking business after breaking into the grounds of a derelict Worthing police station.
The enterprising scamster posted a banner and price lists outside the disused Union Place station on Saturday morning advertising monthly parking permits for 15 '“ half the price of a weekly permit at the NCP car park next door.
Wearing a reflective jacket, the man took cash from a stream of innocent drivers '“ including several postmen based at the nearby main post office '“ all eager to take advantage of a parking bargain.
