Landlord Martin Borrill invited the group down after being invited to the founders day over the past couple of years.

"It was brilliant," he said. "When you think the oldest was 91 and could they drink.

"They were absolutely fabulous, we played cribs, and dominos which The Alex won.

"They were a good crowd. They had a great sense of humour and a lot of stories to tell.

"They got here at 1pm and my wife cooked them a buffet.

"We would like to thank Enterprise Inns who gave us nine gallons of John Smiths, Arundel Brewery who gave us four and half gallons of beer and Goddards Brewery who gave us 36 large bottles of beer."

Mr Borrill said they got through most of the beer, which was a good effort considering there were only eight of them.
