Year-six leader Amanda Tilbrook said: “It went really, really well and we worked very hard on producing it. We were so proud of them. Everyone cried – the mums and dads included.

“The children had so many lines to learn. With all their SATs and revision for exams, we wanted to give them something completely different to do as well.

“The children who took part had radio microphones for which the money was raised by them paying to go to a film night.”

The pupils gave a total of five performances, three for various years of the school and two for parents and families.

Mrs Tilbrook thanked fellow year-six teachers, Jan Baker and Kaz Fenton for their support in producing the play.
