Company director caught drink-driving

A company director has pleaded guilty to drink-driving on the A23.

A police spokesman said Mark Ratcliffe, 59, of Holmbush Lane, Henfield, was arrested at Bolney on New Years Day.

He appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court charged with driving with 65mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.

He was fined £555, disqualified from driving for 12 months, and ordered to pay £85 costs and £56 victim surcharge at the hearing on January 19.
