Residents in three Crawley neighbourhoods will be consulted for the views on additional parking spaces.
Consultation is under way on proposals for six extra parking spaces in Camber Close, Pound Hill, six extra parking spaces in Lavant Close, Gossops Green, and seven extra parking spaces in Scallows Close, Three Bridges.
Crawley Borough Council is considering the proposals under its 2015-17 residential environmental improvements programme.
Residents in all three roads have been written to and have until March 29 to give their views to the council.
A scheme is also planned for Fisher Close, Southgate, which will provide an extra five spaces.
As part of the 2014-16 programme, eight more parking spaces have been created in The Birches in Three Bridges and work began on Monday (March 14) on a scheme to provide nine more spaces in Ifield Drive, Ifield.
Cllr Colin Lloyd, cabinet member for environmental services and sustainability, said: “Crawley Borough Council started the residential environmental improvement programme in 1992 and 36 schemes have been completed creating hundreds of new parking spaces in Crawley’s residential areas.
“Shortage of parking space is one of the biggest challenges in Crawley. This programme provides some much-needed extra parking spaces and helps protect our grass verges.”
