Council opposes pizza restaurant sign
PIZZA Express in Lewes has again asked permission for illuminated signs outside its High Street restaurant.
Last month the restaurant chain was asked by officers from Lewes District Council to make amendments to an earlier plan for illuminated signs.
On Tuesday Lewes Town Council's planning committee discussed a new application.
Councillors agreed the latest plan for illuminated signs should be rejected because it was against the standing policy of the district plan.
The final decision will be made by Lewes District Council.
