He also presented Mrs Johnson with a special token of thanks.

Cllr Tyler said: 'To stay in the same job and building for 30 years is completely unheard of nowadays. So, Veronica's outstanding service record deserves celebrating.

'She has been a credit to the council and a wonderful asset thanks to her hard work and loyalty.

'The experience she brings to her work each day is incomparable and I hope she will be celebrating many more years of service to come.'
